COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT) PROGRAM
Coming of age and rite of passage.
The goal of the CIT program is to teach leadership, service to others and first-job skills to 15 and 16 year olds. The cost for a two-week CIT session is $975, $1975 for a 4-week session. (one week sessions are not available to CITs).
CITs will be subject to the same behavior and policies as campers and staff in all aspects of camp life. CITs will show themselves to be enthusiastic, hard-working, dedicated and committed to the camp program and way of life. Under the supervision of senior staff, they will:
Make camp a fun and positive place to be.
- Supervise and help with clean up (cabins, meals, activities).
- Help in providing a safe and supportive camp atmosphere.
- Treat campers and staff with courtesy and respect.
- Love working with younger kids!
CITs will work cooperatively with a counselor and/or camp director.
CITs will work with staff to develop and co-lead activities and games.
CITs will participate in informal and formal activities with campers.
